The wild bush requires bushcraft

The bush is a cruel place if you donâ??t know how to deal with all mother nature can throw at you. You must be able to build shelter, fire, and find food if you want to survive.

The bush in northern manitoba is quite a challenge to all that wish to prove their wilderness survival skills.
Along with the danger of wild animals, from cougars to snakes and bears, it requires a lot of bushcraft to be able to make shelter, hunt and snare game, fish and make fire in the wilderness.
The essential skills for survival in the bush are explained on this webpage. woodsmen, also called survivormen have this knowledge and contribute to the site. We are compiling a list of important bush knowledge and bushcraft.

How to live in the bush and become skilled in making a living there is part of what all this is about. The idea is to give the reader a working knowledge of bushcraft and survival skills. The Bare Wilderness Team is currently learning them and will keep you updated on their progress.
